Actualized digital terrain model and the distribution of roughness coefficient for the Volga-Akhtuba floodplain

Abstract. The aimof research is to create an actual digital terrain model of the Volga-Akhtuba floodplain (VAP) and the construction of electronic map roughness coefficient of any type of ground surface and vegetation. The new model allows to increase accuracy of prediction of the hydrological regime for the territory of VAP during the spring period by carrying out numerical hydrodynamic experiments.
