Role of the constitutional court of the Russian Federation in the implementation of the decisions of the European court of human rights in domestic law in the prism of national sovereignty

Abstract. The article is devoted to the justification of the need to follow Russian legal humanistic tendencies of the Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms and its Protocols, and the execution of the European Court of Human Rights. The aim of the study is to identify the points at issue in the way of the Russian law-enforcement of judgments in the European Court of Human Rights and non-review of its decision by the Constitutional Court of the Russian Federation. As a result of studying the role of the Constitutional Court in the implementation of European Court judgments into national law, the author concludes that the need to overcome the existing differences and building a long-term cooperation by enforcing international commitments.
