Pragmatics of translation of movie titles

Abstract. The article deals with the specific translation of movie titles and it emphasizes the importance of adequate translation within today's globalization, basic movie titles functions are determined, some translation samples of movie titles are analyzed. The conclusion is made about the importance of the title for the movie success.
