Linguistic and pragmatic problems of metaphor translation in texts of PR discourse

Abstract. The article deals with the concept of PR-discourse and describes its characteristic, determines the pragmatics of PR-texts translation. The article also represents different approaches to the definition and classification of metaphor and also defines its main functions. It carries out a comparative analysis of metaphors used in PR-texts in English and their translation into Russian. On the base of linguistic analysis, the article offers the methods of metaphor translation and specifies its role in the texts of PR-discourse.
