Conceptual metaphor in political discourse: translation problems

Abstract: The work conducts the research of metaphors and its role in political discourse. The article contains a description of the basic conceptual metaphor, its function and influence on the conceptual structure formation in political discourse‘s texts. The article gives examples of using conceptual metaphors in texts of political discourse analyzes examples of the conceptual metaphor used in order to influence public opinion.
