Historiographical review of anthropological research of the medieval population of the Kuban and Northwest Caucasus

Abstract: The researches of the anthropological types of the medieval population of the Kuban and North Caucasus are fragmented. The main investigated burial grounds dated back to VIII-X centuries CE, the Period from V to VIII centuries not yet been studied. In the neighboring territories in the VIII-X centuries lived populations, belonging to two main anthropological types: brachycranial broad-and narrow-headed dolichocranic Europeoids.
