Interferential nature of the translator’s cognitive activity

Abstract. The work is devoted to the peculiarities of the translator’s cognitive professional
activity, namely its interferential nature. The multiple classifications of linguistic interference  were considered in detail as well as its manifestations at various language levels in the process of interpreting. The process of interference was studied in terms of cognitive sciences, such as cognitive linguistics, psycholinguistics and neurolinguistics. As a result, an analysis of the most frequent examples of the interference in interpreting was carried out.
