Abstract. The article is devoted to the peculiarities of the narrator’s speech in
gastronomic television shows. The study relevance is the increased popularity of gastronomic
discourse. The work is based on television show “Jamie at Home”. In this article the speech
of the narrator in gastronomic television shows is considered as an object of translation. It
gives examples of some words and phrases translation from English into Russian, and analyzes
the narrator’s speech behavior.
